To apply for Conditional Accreditation, you will need:

• transcripts showing that you have completed:

  • 75% of the total credit points of your undergraduate degree OR

  • 50% of the total credit points required of your graduate entry teaching degree.

This is calculated based on the total credit points for the completed degree, not on length of time spent studying. For example, for a degree of 360 total credit points, you will need to supply a transcript showing you have completed 270 credit points.

• three identity documents (ID) from our list of accepted IDs

• NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment

• a photo of yourself holding one form of photo ID.

If you are completing a graduate entry teaching degree, you also need to supply official transcripts and graduation certificates from your undergraduate degree(s).

If you are applying for the degree-only pathway, you will need to provide your bachelor’s degree transcript and graduation certificate, along with evidence of a formal offer of employment teaching that discipline in a NSW school. Casual employment is not accepted.

 

To apply for Provisional Accreditation, you will need:

• three identity documents (ID) from our list of accepted IDs

• NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment

• a photo of yourself holding one form of photo ID

• official final transcript(s) that list all subjects completed and grades

• graduation certificates that state the date conferred, awarded or graduated.

If you have completed and graduated from a graduate entry teaching degree, you will need to supply transcripts and graduation certificates from your undergraduate degree(s).

 

You will need:

• three identity documents (ID) from our list of accepted IDs

• NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment

• a photo of yourself holding one form of photo ID

• Overseas Criminal History Check if you lived in a country other than Australia for 12 consecutive months or more in the past 5 years

• Valid working visa and a copy of your passport

• academic transcripts or an official record that lists all subjects completed and grades

• graduation certificate(s) that show you have graduated with a NESA recognised teaching qualification

• If you completed a postgraduate teaching degree, you will also need your transcripts or official records and graduation certificates(s) for your undergraduate study

• NAATI-accredited translation of documents along with your original documents

• Early Childhood Teachers will need to provide an ACECQA certificate of equivalency of your qualification at Early Childhood Teacher level

• English Language Proficiency Test Results (ELPT) if any of your qualifications were completed in a country other than Australia, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, United States of America, New Zealand or Canada.

 

To apply for Mutual Recognition, you will need to select ‘Yes’ to the ‘Are you applying for mutual recognition?’ question on the next page.

You will need:

• three identity documents (ID) from our list of accepted IDs

• a copy of your interstate or NZ registration document confirming current full or provisional registration

• authority to release information form if you are coming from Queensland or Western Australia.

• a visa and passport if you are from New Zealand and currently residing in Australia
